Because almost nothing here ships as a standalone box. A wheelbase needs the right mounting plate for your frame. A pedal set needs a deck that will not flex under it. A frame needs to fit your height, your room and the screens you already own. The listed price is the hardware. The consultation confirms what else the build actually needs so you are not ordering three things and discovering you need a fourth.Â
Free, and no. It is a conversation with Duane about what you race, what you already own, and what you want the rig to do. Plenty of them end with us telling someone to keep the gear they have and upgrade one thing.
It can go either way. Listed prices cover the item itself. Mounting hardware, brackets, cabling and fitting are quoted with the build. We confirm the full number before anything is ordered. No surprise line items at handover.
Our frames take universal mounting, and we support Simagic, Fanatec, Moza, Logitech, Thrustmaster and Simucube. Bring us what you have. Most existing wheelbases and pedal sets transfer onto a new frame with the right plate, and we will tell you when yours does not.
Because we have run it hard and it holds up, parts are available, and the ecosystem is coherent from the 9Nm Alpha EVO through to hydraulic pedals. That is a recommendation, not a restriction. If you want a build around another brand, we will spec and fit it. Needless to say, we are approved distributors of Simagic Equipment
Depends on the GPU. Triples at 1440p want real headroom, and a card that runs a single screen happily will drop frames across three. Tell us your specs during the consultation and we will say honestly whether the PC needs attention first. Buying triples that your machine cannot drive is a common and expensive mistake.
Static rigs take one to two weeks. Motion platforms take three to six weeks depending on specification. Accessories and single items that are in stock go out sooner. Duane confirms a date when you order, not a range.
Yes, and you should. The workshop is at Shop G02, Paardevlei Sentrum, Gardner Williams Ave, Firgrove, Cape Town. Sit in a static rig, drive a motion platform, feel the difference between pedal sets. Ten minutes of that answers more than a week of reading.
